The old single dormitory of Hualien Sugar Factory was built in 1959 (Republic of China), and it has been more than half a century. The style and construction method are the same as those of general Japanese dormitories. In addition to the single dormitory originally built, several other buildings in the Hualien Sugar Factory were converted into single dormitories. Such as the old dormitory area, the old guest house and the clinic ward. The variety of dormitory areas in the Hualien Sugar Factory shows that people of different ages and different family structures work at the Hualien Sugar Factory. It also bears witness to the history of the prosperity of the Hualien Sugar Factory. Now the original single dormitory has been converted into a creative workshop.
