There used to be a quite famous swimming pool inside the sugar factory. It was used as a reservoir earlier and then changed to be used as a swimming pool. The sugar factory used it to train its employees to be lifeguards. It used to be Guangfu Township’s important swimming place.
Beside today’s swimming pool relic is the river bank slope protection, it used to be the place where the toilet and locker rooms were during its heyday. Even though nowadays this place is demolished due to the construction of the dike, the fact that the swimming pool has existed before brings a period of happy memories to the residents around this area.
