During the Japanese Colonial Era, the major transportation means of Taiwan sugar railway was steam locomotives. Currently, 50 steam locomotives that were used by Taiwan Sugar Corp. are preserved around the world, including 2 steam locomotives with the track gauge of 1,067 mm and 48 with the track gauge of 762 mm.
Currently, SL-346 of Xihu Sugar Factory is the only steam locomotive operating, while SL-370 of Wushulin Park is a static display.
