The only under-the-chimney tunnel was built as an arch-shaped smoke ventilation tunnel with bricks. It is a ventilation tunnel that connects the rear of the boiler with the chimney.
When walking towards the end of the chimney tunnel and looking towards the sky from the chimney, one can experience “watching the sky from the well” and the ultimate feeling of light depicted in “The Wind-up Bird Chronicle” by Murakami Haruki.
