All remaining steam locomotives of Taiwan Sugar Corp. have ceased to operate and are under static display throughout Taiwan. It is now extremely rare to see their magnificence of running the tracks while squirting white smoke.
Steam locomotives come in numerous amounts and models. They were either manufactured in Belgium, Germany, Japan or in Taiwan. The earliest steam locomotive can be dated back to 1907, while the latest one was manufactured in 1948. The one on display here is the No. 366 old steam locomotive.
