Introduction:
This course targets the common public. Starting out from the old gate of Xintang Elementary School, this course first leads students to admire the sugar cane flower carving on the old gate for them to know about sugar cane, the material for sugar manufacturing in the early days. During winter, students will be led to the Sugar Cane Maze in front of the Club House to see what sugar cane flowers really look like.
Then students will step on the tracks of sugar trains while being introduced in detail to the evolution of sugar cane transportation. Then they will enter the factory along the sky corridor while being introduced to sugar manufacturing machines and their processes, such as the three-headed squeezer that resembles a giant dragon, the boiler room that is the heart of the factory, or the 3-story high evaporation bottle. These will be fresh to younger students while bringing about nostalgic memories to older students. This is probably the most resonating course out of the 3 courses available.
