Course Name: Travel Sugar Factory through Time Tunnel
Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Suitable Targets: Middle school and high school students
Introduction:
This course mainly targets middle school and high school students. There are as many as 11 city registered historical heritage sites in this place, such as the Factory Director’s Office where the director works, the classic Japanese-style buildings of the director and deputy directors’ residence, the Club House that provides a place for employee recreation and others, which can comprehensively present the past glamorous features of the sugar factory. There are also 24 bunkers scattered around the factory, providing us with a glimpse of its background.
For middle school and high school students, we expect that through on-site introduction on these historical and heritage sites, they could compare them with what they have learned at school and further comprehend other things, thus enabling them to know the sugar factory with the perspective of history and this important page of Taiwan’s history.
