The sugar railway of Xinying Sugar Factory runs around 4.6 km in total. After departing from Zhongxing Station in Xinying, it passes by Jisuixi Bridge, Guoyi Houqi Station, Old Balaoye Station and finally ends at Balaoye Station (The Cow’s Home).
Along the way, besides enjoying the paddle field sceneries by the coast of Jisuixi Bridge, visitors can also enjoy the simple rural village landscapes of Liuying, Tainan. Docents will explain the industry and culture of sugar manufacturing throughout the course.
Visitors can also hear nostalgic songs by Wu Chin-huai, feeling the elegance among simple melodies. Trains can cross at Guoyi Houqi Station, a scene that cannot be seen at other railway courses. Also at Zhongxing Station, visitors can see exhibitions of railway artifacts, machines and old photos for free by the ticket counter.
