The dormitory section and singles dormitory of Shanhua Sugar Factory were built after Taiwan Restoration. Although they were brick buildings, given that they were similar to Japanese-style buildings, they were also called “Wafu Dormitory.”They were initially provided to sugar factory employees and their families and have been well-preserved.
Butterfly Love Shanhua Cultural Park was based on the dormitory section of Shanhua Sugar Factory and has developed versatile recreational features by combining with the industrial culture of the sugar factory. Restaurants such as “Incosda-In Costa Rica,” “Shenyuan Bakery” and “Jisui Hot Pot” can be found here. It is the best place for parent–children and family gatherings.
