The exhibited items in Shanhua Sugar Factory Heritage Museum are arranged based on historical context, exhibiting related literature and machines on the 4 major sugar manufacturing departments of “agricultural affair,” “labor affair,” “railway” and “management.”
Utilizing the concept of a “living sugar industry museum,” it is combined with factory recreational venues of a water park, ice treats shop, outdoor exhibition venue and others, attracting tourists, students and other tour groups to visit here.
Besides serving the functions of collecting, exhibiting, education and research, its permanent exhibition section also exhibits wood formers made by the former Taiwan Sugar Manufacturing and Technology Service Center Xinying Repairing Site and other items such as machines used by underwater digging teams, pictures and others, presenting the cultural diversity of the sugar industry.
