Built with tiles and Taiwan red cypress, its surrounding was installed with grille glass windows. The corridor at its right-hand side is now the ticket counter and starting point of the sugar railway.
Movie “A Cart of Dowry,” Wu Bai’s music video of “Back to Hometown” and the FTV drama “The Forgettable Memory” were all once shot here. This place witnessed the development and history of Taiwan’s sugar industry and is the place where domestic and foreign tourists must visit when visiting Chiayi. It was selected as one of the 100 oldest buildings of Taiwan.
