Located at the Sugar Culture Area. After merging the 2 sugar refineries of Changhua and Xizhou, Xihu Sugar Refinery became the only sugar manufacturing factory in Changhua County.
During its prime, it could produce 350 tons of sugar per day. Operation rooms for squeezing, boiling, cleaning, crystalizing, molasses separation, packaging and electricity were equipped.
The chimney of its boiler reached around 45 meters, making it the tallest landmark of Xihu Township.
After the sugar manufacturing business was shut down, it was reopened on March 8, 2002 as a recreational and tourism attraction and provided group guided tour reservation service.
