Xihu Sugar Railway Cultural Park is located at Xihu Township, Changhua County. Founded in 1919, it was the only sugar refinery in Changhua County, and once produced the highest volume of sugar among all sugar refineries.
Massive sugar manufacturing industrial heritage was being preserved in the park, including sugar manufacturing refinery, wooden sugar railway stations, 346 Japanese steam locomotive, and Japanese-style dormitory buildings.
It is rich with industrial culture heritage and landscape, enabling visitors to understand how the sugar railway industry influenced its surrounding environment and culture among the changes of time.
Environmental Education: Booking service is available only to groups with 20 people or more on weekdays.
Environmental Education Fare: NT$200 per person (including small diesel train ticket and 1 popsicle). Steam train fare will be charged individually.
